Register a domain

This guide explains how to register a new domain name when the name is available for purchase using the customer dashboard or the Nisc Cloud website.

Before you register

Have accurate contact details ready (registries require real WHOIS information).
Decide which extension you want (.co.ke for Kenya, .com for global, etc.).
If you also need a website, consider ordering hosting in the same checkout so setup is easier later.

Register from the dashboard

Sign in at npanel.nisccloud.com.
In the left sidebar, click Domains.
Click Get a Domain.
In the search box, type the name without www for example mybusiness or mybusiness.co.ke.
Click Search or press Enter.
Review results:
- Available names can be added to cart.
- Taken names cannot be registered unless the owner sells them.
Select the extensions you want (checkbox or Add button).
Choose registration period (often 1–5 years).
Proceed to Checkout or Cart.
Confirm billing details and pay with M-Pesa or card.
After payment succeeds, open Domains → My Domains your domain should appear within a few minutes.

Register from nisccloud.com

Go to www.nisccloud.com and open the Domains section or domain search on the homepage.
Enter your desired name and search.
Add available domains to cart.
Sign in or create an account at checkout.
Pay and wait for confirmation email.
Manage the domain in the dashboard under My Domains.

Complete WHOIS / contact information

Registries require owner contact data on file:

During checkout, fill in registrant name, organization, email, phone, and address.
Use an email you monitor renewal and transfer notices go there.
For .co.ke and other country domains, local presence rules may apply; follow prompts on screen.

Inaccurate data can block registration or cause compliance issues later.

After registration

Find your domain

Click Domains → My Domains.
Click the new domain name.

Point it to a website

If you bought Nisc Cloud hosting, use Nameservers or DNS as instructed in hosting Overview.
If hosting is elsewhere, set nameservers or DNS records at the other hostNisc Cloud's instructions.

Set up email

If you bought business email, create mailboxes under Emails and add MX records in domain DNS. See Email DNS records.

Timeline

The domain is yours in the dashboard immediately after registration completes.
DNS changes worldwide can take 24–48 hours to fully propagate.

Tips

Register common misspellings or .co.ke + .com together if you protect a brand.
Enable renewal reminders by keeping billing email current in My Profile.
Open Protect Brand on the domain if offered for your TLD.
